No. Custom Boopos are priced individually based on the design, complexity, materials and build requirements. If Sam determines that your idea is something Boopos can take on, you'll have a consultation before pricing is finalized.

No. Every custom Boopos request is reviewed for feasibility before a project is accepted. Submitting an inquiry does not create an order, reserve a build date or guarantee that Boopos can complete the requested design.

Yes. Custom requests can include a custom head or a complete blank puppet. If one of the existing Squash, Stretch, Betty, Buddy or Snoot heads works for your character, the lower-priced Boopos Head Only option may be all you need.

Yes, we remain actively involved until solutions are fully operational and staff are confident.

Boopos specializes in helping bring original puppet ideas to life. You can submit sketches and reference images to communicate your idea, but we won't reproduce protected characters or designs without appropriate authorization.

Sam Carter is the founder and creator of Boopos Blanks and a veteran Atlanta film artist whose work has helped bring some of Hollywood’s most imaginative worlds to life.
Over the past 20 years, Sam has built a career as an artistic jack-of-all-trades, working across practical special effects, fabrication, props, puppetry, and set decoration.
His film and television credits include working as a special effects technician on Stranger Things, where he helped create the practical effects of the Upside Down, and as a set dresser on Marvel’s Black Panther, where his work included building sci-fi experiments for Shuri’s laboratory. His extensive film and television career also includes productions such as Ant-Man and the Wasp, Doctor Sleep, Jumanji: The Next Level, The Hunger Games, Coming 2 America, and more.
Outside of film and television, Sam has partnered with numerous arts organizations to produce large scale public artworks and events.
Sam brings that same professional craftsmanship, playful imagination, and love of making things by hand to Boopos Blanks. Boopos Blank Puppets are a generic customizable puppet base named for his nicknames for his daughters “Boo” and “Pose”.
Sam hopes that Boopos gives people the tools needed to turn an idea in their head into a one-of-a-kind puppet character they can actually hold in their hands.
