Start with the pieces. Leave with a puppet.
Join professional puppet builder and Boopos creator Sam Carter for a hands-on puppet-making workshop at Woodstock Arts Center in Woodstock, Georgia.
Date: Saturday, November 14
Time: 1:00 PM–3:00 PM
Location: The Reeves House Visual Arts Center, 734 Reeves St, Woodstock, GA 30188
Ages: 16+
Workshop Fee: $180 per participant
Designed for makers ages 16 and up, this two-hour workshop gives each participant the opportunity to build their own Boopos Blank puppet from the components up.
You'll choose your puppet's head shape before the workshop and then learn how its components come together to create an articulated character ready to move, gesture, pose, and develop a personality all its own.
Whether you're interested in puppetry, character design, fabrication, performance, or simply spending an afternoon making something wonderfully unusual, no previous puppet-building experience is necessary.
This workshop is designed for individual builders rather than pairs. Every registered participant builds and leaves with their own puppet.
What's Included
Your $180 registration includes one Boopos Blank puppet, all necessary building materials and components, and hands-on instruction from Sam Carter.
Choose Your Boopos
Select your puppet when registering:
Squash • Betty • Buddy • Stretch • Snoot
Come ready to build, experiment, and discover the character hiding inside your Boopos Blank. At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a puppet you built yourself—and a character ready for its next adventure.
